Harlow Glass Completes Slimline Sliding Door Installation at 1 Heddon Street, Mayfair

Harlow Glass has successfully installed a sleek sliding door entrance at 1 Heddon Street, located in the prestigious area of Mayfair. This project was carried out in collaboration with main contractor BW, on behalf of The Crown Estate. The design required a minimalistic frame that seamlessly blended with the existing arched pivot doors on the ground floor. To achieve this, a slimline aluminum system was used, complemented by a custom arched frame that was carefully integrated into the existing ornate stonework, ensuring no damage was caused to the listed structure during installation.

Additionally, a low-profile sliding automation system was installed to maintain minimal sightlines. Harlow Glass also completed the installation of a new entrance screen and access pivot door on the new fifth-floor terrace. The screen and door sightlines were designed to match those on the floor above while achieving a level threshold for easy access for all building users.
