Harlow Glass has successfully delivered a project involving the development, manufacturing, and installation of bespoke feature glass panels. The sophisticated design concept was initially conceived by PLP Architecture, requiring meticulous development and realization by our team at Harlow Glass. Throughout this process, we closely collaborated with metal mesh suppliers Cadisch MDA.

Our research and development efforts led us to innovate a unique powder coating process applied to a fine gauge mesh, offering a refined palette of 12 white/grey shades. This involved site visits to our supplier's factory in Italy, followed by the lamination process taking place in the UK.

Our rigorous R&D process led to a groundbreaking laminating technique, creating a first-of-its-kind inter-layered mesh product. This innovative approach involved combining the mesh with a specialized back painting process, resulting in a range of transparent and opaque glass panels tailored for the project.

In total, we produced and installed 800 individual glass panels in a variety of colors, enhancing the building's feature entrance hall with a stunning display of architectural glass. Harlow Glass successfully executed this complex installation, showcasing our expertise in delivering high-quality, customized glass solutions.

Additionally, Harlow Glass sourced and installed a second feature wall to complement the external facade, maintaining a consistent 'Feature X' design aesthetic. These panels were meticulously selected and installed to precisely match the external facade's appearance and specifications.

The panels, reaching a maximum height of 4.6 meters and weighing a total of 580kg, were expertly handled and installed by our team to ensure a seamless integration with the building's architecture.

Our internal R&D, design, and management services enabled us to deliver a fully bespoke product that aligned perfectly with the design intent. By handling all aspects of the process internally and without outsourcing, Harlow Glass provided a seamless, single-point-of-contact experience for the main contractor, ensuring smooth project execution from start to finish.
