Harlow Glass Completes Fire-Rated Glazed Screens and Doors at 150 Aldersgate Street

Harlow Glass is proud to announce the successful handover of fire-rated glazed screens and doors at the prestigious 150 Aldersgate Street project. Delivered in collaboration with our client, Midgard, this installation showcases our commitment to quality, safety, and aesthetic excellence.

The project features multiple 90-minute fire-rated fixed screens and doors distributed throughout the ground floor. These installations not only provide essential fire integrity but also enhance the architectural appeal of the space. The majority of the screens overlook the impressive new reception hall, creating seamless visual connections between the reception area and the surrounding office spaces.

A standout feature of the project is the bespoke manifestation on three of the screens, developed in close collaboration with the project architects. These unique designs complement the bespoke wall cladding on the opposite side of the reception, achieving a harmonious and cohesive interior aesthetic.

To meet the project's complex requirements, Harlow Glass worked closely with both Midgard and the client’s design team to ensure precise detailing of junctions around the screens. This meticulous coordination was key to balancing stringent fire safety standards with the need to maximise natural light.

All doors in the installation are future-proofed, with the capability to be upgraded for automation by end-users. Integrated electric strikes ensure seamless compatibility with the building's access control systems.
